Oneuldal Studio ("the Studio") makes and runs Moonlog (오늘달, "the App"). This document explains what information the App handles.

1. Information kept only on your device

What you create in the App, such as to-dos, routines, memos, photos and decoration settings, is stored only on your device and is never sent to the Studio's servers. The name and photo you set in your profile also stay on your device. Everything is removed when you delete the App.

2. Accounts and sign-in

When you first open the App, a nameless account (a Firebase anonymous account) is created automatically. It has no name or email and is used to remember your purchases and promo codes.

If you like, you can sign in with Google or Apple. You can use the App without signing in. When you sign in, the Studio receives:

We use this only to keep you signed in and to tell accounts apart. When you sign in with Apple on Android, the result passes through a relay server run by the Studio (Cloudflare Workers) so it can return to the App. This server only passes the result straight to the App and does not store it.

3. Backup and sync

When you use backup, your to-dos, routines, memos, settings and photos are saved to your own Google Drive (the App's private folder) or iCloud. The Studio cannot see what you back up. You can also export a backup file to your device.

When you connect Google Drive, the Studio stores a refresh token issued by Google and your Google email on its server (Google Firebase), so you can sync across devices without signing in again. This token can only access files the App created and the App's private folder. It is deleted when you disconnect Drive or delete your account.

4. Purchases

Paid features are bought through Google Play or the App Store. The Studio never receives payment details such as card numbers.

To verify purchases and apply benefits, we store the following, identified only by your account number:

5. Usage statistics

To improve the App, we use Google Analytics for Firebase to count which features are used and how often, for example adding a to-do, changing a theme or running a backup, along with the App language and a range for your to-do count.

We do not send your name, email, or the content of your to-dos and memos. However, if you change the home screen header text, that text (up to 100 characters) may be recorded, and if an error occurs, the error message (up to 100 characters) may be recorded.

6. Advertising

The App is free to use and shows ads while you use it for free. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. Once you buy paid features, ads no longer appear. The App has four kinds of ads:

While showing ads, Google may collect and use your device identifier (advertising ID), device information and approximate location based on your IP address. Google handles this information directly and the Studio cannot view it. In AdMob, the Studio only sees aggregate figures such as how many times ads were shown.

The Studio requires Google to handle this information only to the extent that a level of privacy protection equivalent to this policy is maintained.

You can reset your advertising ID or turn off personalized ads in your device settings.

On iOS, the App asks for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency) before showing the first ad. Only if you allow it is the advertising identifier (IDFA) used for personalized ads. You can keep using the App and its ads even if you don't allow it, and you can change your answer anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

European Economic Area and the UK

In these regions, the App asks for your consent before showing ads. After you answer, you can choose again anytime in the App under Settings → Help & Support → Ad settings.

7. Children

The App is not made primarily for children. Because we can't control who sees it, ads are limited to content suitable for all ages.

8. Permissions the App requests

Alarms & reminders (exact alarms)Alerting you exactly at the time you set
Full-screen notifications, sound playback servicePlaying alarm sounds and showing the alarm screen

The App does not access your location, contacts, microphone or camera.

9. Sharing and service providers

The Studio does not sell your information or hand it to others. We use the services below to run the App, and each handles information under its own privacy policy. Their servers may be located outside your country, including in the United States.
